# Introduction
Source: https://docs.admanage.ai/api-references/introduction
Fundamental concepts of AdManage's API.
## Base URL
AdManage's API is built on REST principles and is served over HTTPS. To ensure data privacy, unencrypted HTTP is not supported.
The Base URL for all API endpoints is:
```bash Terminal theme={null}
https://admanage.ai/api/
```
## Authentication
Authentication to AdManage's API is performed via the Authorization header with a Bearer token. To authenticate, you need to include the Authorization header with the word `Bearer` followed by your API key in your requests like so:
```bash Terminal theme={null}
Authorization: Bearer ak_xxxxxx
```
Here are examples of how to authenticate with AdManage's API in different programming languages:
```bash cURL theme={null}
curl --request GET \
--url https://admanage.ai/api/ad-copy-templates \
--header 'Authorization: Bearer ak_xxxxxx'
```
Learn more about [how to get your API key](/api-references/tokens).
## Error Handling
AdManage API returns machine readable error codes, human readable error messages and a link to the docs for more information.
Here is how an error response looks like:
```json theme={null}
{
"error": {
"code": "not_found",
"message": "The requested resource was not found.",
"doc_url": "https://docs.admanage.ai/api-references/errors#not-found"
}
}
```
Here is a list of all error codes AdManage API returns:
* **Status:** 400
* **Problem:** The request is malformed, either missing required fields, using wrong datatypes, or being syntactically incorrect.
* **Solution:** Check the request and make sure it is properly formatted.
* **Status:** 401
* **Problem:** The request has not been applied because it lacks valid authentication credentials for the target resource.
* **Solution:** Make sure you are using the correct API key or access token.
* **Status:** 403
* **Problem:** The server understood the request, but is refusing to fulfill it because the client lacks proper permission.
* **Solution:** Make sure you have the necessary permissions to access the resource.
* **Status:** 404
* **Problem:** The server has not found anything matching the request URI.
* **Solution:** Check the request and make sure the resource exists.
* **Status:** 409
* **Problem:** Another resource already uses the same identifier. For example, workspace slug must be unique.
* **Solution:** Change the identifier to a unique value.
* **Status:** 410
* **Problem:** The invite has expired.
* **Solution:** Generate a new invite.
* **Status:** 422
* **Problem:** The server was unable to process the request because it contains invalid data.
* **Solution:** Check the request and make sure input data is valid.
* **Status:** 429
* **Problem:** The request has been rate limited.
* **Solution:** Wait for a while and try again.
* **Status:** 500
* **Problem:** The server encountered an unexpected condition that prevented it from fulfilling the request.
* **Solution:** Try again later. If the problem persists, contact support.
## Pagination
AdManage's API supports pagination. This is useful when you have a large number of resources and you want to retrieve them in smaller chunks.
These list API methods share a common set of parameters that allow you to control the number of items returned and the page number. For example, you can:
* [retrieve a list of ad copy templates](/api-references/endpoint/retrieve-a-list-of-ad-copy-templates)
### Parameters
The page number to retrieve. By default, the first page is returned.
The number of items to retrieve per page. The default value varies by
endpoint. Maximum value is 100.
The field to sort the results by.
The order to sort the results by. Can be `asc` or `desc`.
### Example
The following example demonstrates how to retrieve the first page of 10 ad copy templates:
```bash cURL theme={null}
curl --request GET \
--url https://admanage.ai/api/ad-copy-templates?page=1&pageSize=10 \
--header 'Authorization: Bearer '
```
# Rate limits
Source: https://docs.admanage.ai/api-references/rate-limits
Learn about AdManage's API rate limits.
AdManage's API rate limiting is in conformance with the [IETF standard](https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-ietf-httpapi-ratelimit-headers):
| Header Name | Description |
| ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `X-RateLimit-Limit` | The maximum number of requests that the consumer is permitted to make per hour. |
| `X-RateLimit-Remaining` | The number of requests remaining in the current rate limit window. |
| `X-RateLimit-Reset` | The time at which the current rate limit window resets in UTC epoch seconds. |
| `Retry-After` | The number of seconds to wait before retrying the request again. |
AdManage's API is capped at **60 requests per minute** per key on the Inhouse plan, with elevated limits for [Agency plan](https://admanage.ai/pricing) and above.
This is implemented to ensure a fair usage policy so that excessive use by a single user does not adversely affect the performance and usage of the API by others.
You'll receive a `429 Too Many Requests` response code if the rate limit is exceeded.
## Rate limits by plan
Depending on your AdManage pricing plan, you can expect the following rate limits:
| Plan | Rate limit |
| -------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| [Inhouse](https://admanage.ai/pricing) | 60 requests per minute |
| [Agency](https://admanage.ai/pricing) | 600 requests per minute |
| [Enterprise](https://admanage.ai/enterprise) | Custom β [reach out to sales](https://admanage.ai/book-a-call) for details |
# API keys
Source: https://docs.admanage.ai/api-references/tokens
Learn how API keys work on AdManage.
API keys on AdManage allow you to access your organization programmatically. This is useful for integrating AdManage into your application or with other tools and services.
Each API key is tied to a specific organization β meaning you can use it to access that organization's resources without having to worry about "leaking" access to other organizations.
API keys on AdManage follow the format:
```bash .env theme={null}
ADMANAGE_API_KEY=ak_xxxxxxxx
```
By default, you can use this key to perform any API request without restriction, so it must be stored securely in your app's server-side code (such as in an environment variable or credential management system). Donβt expose this key on a website.
## Create an API key
You can create an API key by following these steps:
Go to the [**API Keys Page**](https://admanage.ai/connect)
Click on the **Create API Key** button to create the key. Make sure to copy your API key
Now that you have your API key, you can use it to access your organization's resources programmatically via any API request as a bearer token.
```
Authorization: Bearer ak_xxxx
```

# Creative Enhancements
Source: https://docs.admanage.ai/creative-enhancements
## Overview
Creative Enhancements, also known as Crave Enhancements, are powerful tools in AdManage that help you optimize your Facebook ad creatives for better performance and engagement. These enhancements can be applied to all Facebook Images, Videos, and Carousels, giving you full control over how your ads appear and perform.
## What Are Creative Enhancements?
Creative Enhancements are a set of automated and manual options that can be applied to your ad creatives. They include features like:
* **Relevant Comments**: Automatically add comments that are relevant to your ad content.
* **Visual Touch-ups**: Improve the visual quality of your images and videos.
* **Text Improvements**: Enhance the clarity and impact of your ad copy.
* **Overlays, Music, Animation, and More**: Add overlays, music, animations, and other effects to make your ads stand out.
* **Catalog Items & Site Links**: Automatically include product catalog items or site links in your creatives.
* **Standard & Advantage+ Enhancements**: Leverage Meta's advanced creative optimization features.
Each enhancement can be toggled on or off for Images, Videos, and Carousels independently.
## How to Use Creative Enhancements
### 1. Accessing the Settings
* Go to the **Creative Enhancements** section in your AdManage settings.
* You'll see separate panels for **Images**, **Videos**, and **Carousels**.
### 2. Global Toggle
* At the top, there is a **Meta Creative Enhancements** switch.
* **Turn All On/Off**: Use this switch to enable or disable all enhancements at once for the selected ad account.
* When turned off, all individual enhancements will be disabled.
### 3. Customizing Enhancements
* Under each creative type (Images, Videos, Carousels), you can toggle individual enhancements on or off.
* This allows you to create a custom setup that fits your brand and campaign needs.
### 4. Per Ad Account Settings
* Creative Enhancement settings are saved **per ad account**.
* When you add a new ad account, you'll set your defaults once.
* These preferences are remembered for every launch with that ad account, so you don't have to reconfigure each time.

## Best Practices
* **Start with All Off**: If you want full manual control, turn all enhancements off.
* **Customize for Your Brand**: Enable only the enhancements that align with your creative strategy.
* **Test and Monitor**: Try different combinations and monitor ad performance to find what works best.
* **Set and Forget**: Once you've set your preferences for an ad account, they'll be applied automatically for future campaigns.
## Example Use Cases
* **Brand Consistency**: Turn off all enhancements except for overlays and branding elements.
* **Performance Optimization**: Enable all enhancements to let Meta optimize your creatives automatically.
* **Custom Approach**: Mix and match enhancements for each creative type based on your campaign goals.

#### Custom Mappings (User-Configured)
In addition to automatic mappings, you can create custom mappings for column names specific to your workflow. These are managed in the **Column Mappings** section of the sidebar:
1. **View Current Mappings** - The sidebar shows:
* **Automatic Mappings** - All built-in mappings that are currently active (shown below custom mappings)
* **Custom Mappings** - Your user-defined mappings (shown at the top)
2. **Add Custom Mapping** - Click **"+ Add Column Mapping"** to map a sheet column to an AdManage field
3. **Edit or Remove** - Custom mappings can be modified or deleted at any time
**Important:** Custom mappings take precedence over automatic mappings. If you create a custom mapping for a column name that also has an automatic mapping, your custom mapping will be used instead.
#### How Mappings Work Together
When you upload data to AdManage:
1. **Automatic mappings are applied first** - All built-in mappings are checked against your sheet columns
2. **Custom mappings are applied next** - Your custom mappings override any automatic mappings for the same column names
3. **Final result** - Your sheet data is transformed to AdManage format using the combined mapping rules
**Example:** If your sheet has a column named `Campaign Name`:
* It will automatically map to `Ad Name` (automatic mapping)
* If you create a custom mapping `Campaign Name` β `Custom Name`, your custom mapping will be used instead
* The final data sent to AdManage will use `Custom Name` as the field name
### Upload Process
1. The addon automatically detects new rows that haven't been uploaded
2. It adds an **"ADMANAGE"** column to track upload status
3. Only processes rows without timestamps in the ADMANAGE column
4. Shows upload statistics before processing
1. Click **"Upload to AdManage"** from the Launch Ads card
2. The addon processes up to 50 rows per batch for optimal performance
3. If you have more than 50 rows, run multiple uploads
4. Each successful upload adds timestamps to processed rows
* **Business ID**: Optional business/ad account identifier
* **Status**: Choose "draft" or "active" for launch drafts
* **Automatic Title Generation**: Uses row count and timestamp
* **CSV Format**: Data is automatically formatted as CSV for AdManage

## Getting Started
Load your media by clicking the `Load Media` button

Select the files you want to use for your multi-placement ads

You can hold `shift` to select multiple files
## Auto Grouping β¨
The media files you select will be automatically grouped into the correct placements based on the file names.

The filenames must match exactly, only the placement identifier should be different. eg `AdManage_Image_10_4x5.png` and `AdManage_Image_10_9x16.png` will be grouped together.
#### Supported Patterns
Here are the placement identifier patterns that we support for automatic grouping:
| Square(Feed) | Portrait(Feed) | Vertical(Story) | Landscape(Wide) |
| ---------------------- | ------------------------ | ------------------------ | ------------------------- |
| filename\_`1x1`.png | filename\_`4x5`.png | filename\_`9x16`.png | filename\_`16x9`.png |
| filename\_`1_1`.jpg | filename\_`4_5`.jpg | filename\_`9_16`.jpg | filename\_`16x9`.jpg |
| filename\_`square`.png | filename\_`portrait`.png | filename\_`vertical`.png | filename\_`landscape`.png |
| filename\_`11`.png | filename\_`45`.png | filename\_`916`.png | filename\_`169`.png |
| filename\_`SQ`.png | filename\_`4:5`.png | filename\_`VT`.png | filename\_`16-9`.png |
| filename\_`Feed`.png | filename\_`4-5`.png | filename\_`Story`.png | filename\_`16:9`.png |
The following pixel dimensions are also supported:
| Square(Feed) | Portrait(Feed) | Vertical(Story) | Landscape(Wide) |
| --------------- | --------------- | --------------- | --------------- |
| `1080x1080`.png | `1080x1350`.png | `1080x1920`.png | `1920x1080`.png |
| `1080x1080`.jpg | `1080x1350`.jpg | `628x1200`.jpg | `1200x628`.png |
| | | | `1350x1080`.png |
* The format can appear at the start, middle, or end of the filename.
* The separators `-`, `_`, `~`, `:` are interchangeable in most patterns.
* Case is not sensitive (e.g., `SQ` or `sq`, `Story` or `STORY` work the same).
* For Instagram-style filenames, patterns like `instagram~post~-~1.jpg` and `instagram~story~-~1.jpg` are also supported.
* For pixel dimensions, the aspect ratio determines the placement category:
Square: ratio \~1:1 - Portrait: ratio between 0.7 and 0.9 - Vertical:ratio β€ 0.7 - Landscape: ratio β₯ 1.1
## Manual Grouping
In some situations, the media files you select may not be named correctly for automatic grouping. In this case, you can manually group the ads by clicking the `Set Multi-Placement` button.

Click the images you want to group together

Confirm the placement grouping by clicking `Group Selected Media` button

Click `Done` to save the changes

You can hover over the launch button to see a tooltip with the reason why it's disabled or greyed out.

The most common reason for the launch button to be disabled / greyed out is that you haven't selected an Ad set.
Check that you have selected some media files to launch.
Also check that your ad copy is not empty.
